Continuation of Coachella

Overview:

My audio story is about how a friend of mine went to a music festival and got an experience of a lifetime. Down below you are able to listen to it.

  

Experts and Characters:

Within this story I will add an expert to the audio story who can add their expertise on the topic. I am planning on asking an Event Manager professor here at High Point University. The main character of my story is Sammi Smith. Sammi is one of my friends who got to go to the music festival and get tickets from a random guy in her hotel and his tickets got her All Access Backstage passes. 

Expert: Professor Parrish

Ms. Parrish will be a great person to interview for my audio story because she has background knowledge about how an event is ran and what goes on behind the scenes. She will be able to articulate well and provide useful information that will go along with the audio story.

Expert: Dr. JW Turner

Dr. Turner is an assistant professor for the music department here at the school. He will be able to provide his expertise by giving us details about the type of music that is played at these festivals and how the music can impact ones experience.

Music

The music that I have chosen goes well with my audio story because it matches the mood of the story. It also sounds very suspenseful while listening to it. While the transitions are happening throughout my story, I will use this music and it will make the audience want to keep being invested in the story because they are going to wonder what they will learn about next. Down below I have embedded the music selection that I have chosen and you are able to listen to it.



Sound Effect:

The sound effect that I have chosen to create myself is a crowd cheering. I chose this sound effect because at concerts there are so many people who are singing along to their favorite artists.

Introduction: Hello everyone! It is almost time for a short break, but before we leave I have a short video for you all. The story is the same as my audio story but  I have added some animation effects to go with it. I hope you guys enjoy it! Audio Premier: This wasn't hard to make, but it did take longer than I thought it would. Towards the end it gets a little more simple. I added graphics that spin and rotate as well. I have used the different lessons that we used in class to add it to my video. The only element that I was not able to upload was the b-roll. I was thinking that when I do upload it, it would be from a concert that I have personally been to. This would add a great touch to it. I hope you all enjoy!

  Simone Biles. That's all. Growing up I was a pretty energetic kid and my parents didn't know what to do with all of my energy. They placed me in a recreational gymnastics class and from that point on I never stopped loving the sport. I was a competitive gymnast my whole life starting at the age of six and going all the way up to my senior year of high school. I have won multiple state and regional titles during my career, but nothing compares to Simone Biles. At first I didn't know who she was, we just ended the 2012 Olympics and the U.S national team took home the gold. Now we were back to watching smaller elite competitions. In 2013 Biles won her first gold medal and it took off from there. After her win, my gymnastics gym back home was able to host her and have her speak to us. This was a life changing experience. What is Music to You?

Brief Overview:  My audio story is mainly about what music is to others and how they experience it whether that be through a music festival or just listening to it while doing homework. I interviewed many people about what music is to them and I also interviewed an expert who gives us her opinion on multiple different topics about music. Down below I have linked my full audio story and you are able to listen to it. The Process:  The process to making this audio story took a while because I interviewed four people to get all of the information that I needed in order to complete the story. We had to find background music that goes along with our story, so I picked an upbeat sound in order to keep my audience engaged throughout the whole story.
