Hoaxing Yourself Description: In this podcast Ira Glass interviews two different people about how they started to lie to themselves so much that it turned into a reality for them. One of the men who was Sean Cole; faked his accent to be British when he went to school. Cole would spend hours watching films that involved people with British accents and try and imitate them in order to sound as though he was from there. During the interview we found out that he created a whole backstory in order to make his accent seem more real to him and to his peers. Back to the Basics!
